BILLING POLICY
As of 1 August 2024, JŠ Physiotherapy will no longer claim directly from medical aid. Patients will be requested to settle their account at the end of their session. You will receive a paid statement, which you can send to your medical aid for reimbursement.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept card payments, cash and snapscan.
WILL MY MEDICAL AID REIMBURSE THE FULL AMOUNT?
Our rates are calculated using an average of current rates charged by the major medical aid schemes. The exact amount that will be reimbursed depends on your particular medical aid. Please note that some medical aid plans require previous authorisation through a GP. Please contact your medical aid for more details.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL FOR PHYSIOTHERAPY?
In South Africa, physiotherapists are first line practitioners, so you do NOT need a referral. However, some medical aid plans require a referral for you to get reimbursed (e.g. Discovery Smart Plans). Kindly contact your medical aid for more information.
WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
We kindly request that you email or WhatsApp us 24hrs before the start of your session. Late cancellations will be charged R250. No-shows will be responsible for the full amount .
